Thunder Conference 2014

The church today is facing unprecedented challenges as compared to the early 80’s when we first began ministry. Almost everyone I know in ministry has faced challenges – whether personal, financial, family, organizational, or even public scrutiny. Additionally, depending on where we live – east coast, west coast, or the Midwest, we all face cultural resistances to the gospel as we purpose to stay relevant in an ever-changing world.

As we prayerfully began planning Thunder, we felt the need to address the future emerging church with the purpose of focused preparation. How can we all – as THE church – maximize our effectiveness today as we plan and build for the future? How do we position ourselves to impact our cities? What do we need to do internally as organizations, and externally as ministries to fulfill God’s mandate?

Thunder14 has been designed around these thoughts and the intense desire to help us all become strengthened and equipped internally as organizations so we are making a greater more positive impact externally.

Day sessions will include interactive discussions on the topics of: The Team (roles of Sr. Pastor, Associate Pastor, staff, leaders & volunteers); Surviving Setbacks; What are You Attracting (dealing with cultural relevance, understanding demographics, building multi-cultural churches) and much more.

Evening services will be filled with inspiring and relevant teaching from two of the greatest preachers in the body of Christ today – Bishop Michael Pitts & Reverend Samuel Rodriguez.

All this and much more will take place during Thunder14, so mark your calendars for September 10-14, 2014 and plan to join us! We look forward to seeing you in September.

Conference Speakers

Bishop Michael Pitts

Cornerstone Church

Bishop Michael Pitts is the founder and Pastor of Cornerstone Church in Toledo, OH. He also is the overseer of the Cornerstone Global Network.

Bishop Rick Hawkins

Place For Life

If you grew up in Louisiana in the 1960’s, to you he would be “Ricky.” You and Ricky would enjoy the unique Cajun culture, rich in food, family, and fun. You would also experience the harsh reality of prejudice and racism, but learn how to be a bridge across cultural boundaries. If you were friends with him in the late seventies, you would experience life’s peculiar adolescent season, when both God and personal desires begin calling. This is the time when the questions beckon the quest of life in most men. And if you happened to be with him at a particular youth gathering when he was eighteen, you would see that is when the fire was ignited in his purpose.

Reverend Samuel Rodriguez

New Season Christian Worship Center

CNN named Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, “The leader of the Hispanic Evangelical movement”. The Wall St. Journal has identified him as one of America’s 7 most influential Hispanic Leaders, and the only religious leader on the list. Meanwhile the San Francisco Chronicle described Samuel as one of the 6 Leaders of the New Evangelical Leadership. By God’s Grace, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez stands today as America’s voice for Hispanic Christianity.
